Let’s be remembered as grandparents who prayed unceasing, purposeful, heartfelt prayers that accomplished much.

I have always heard that our prayer life is one of the most vital parts of this life we enjoy with the Lord Jesus Christ. In fact, prayer is one of the authenticating ‘birthmarks’ of a Christian in love with the Savior.

We can’t be perfect, but by seeking to reflect God’s love into our grandkids’ lives, we can be good parents and grandparents. And we can point our grandchildren to their perfect Heavenly Father.

There is no question that WE love our grandchildren deeply and completely for all of time. But are THEY sure of it?

God calls us to show deep love to each other. Last month, we encouraged you to look inward. An additional way to watch ourselves is to evaluate how we love others.

I want the Bible to be a priority in their lives. I want them to stand on the truths of Scripture no matter what may come. I also desire to help them in this endeavor.

Lord, may you keep a close watch on how the grandparents live and teach. May they stay true to what is right for the sake of their own salvation as well as the salvation of their families. May they watch closely the example they are leaving.

God calls us to be involved in the lives of our families, and as grandparents, we have tremendous opportunities to influence our grandchildren’s faith.
