Bless your grandchildren by pointing out their gifts and talents and letting them hear you thank God for the many good things you and they have to be thankful for.

Oh, how we desire to see our grandkids grow into strong, healthy, wise, loving men and women, with good character, seeking God first, becoming the persons God has created them to be, doing the good works God has prepared for them. We want to be good stewards of the lives entrusted to us.

A grandparent’s role is not defined simply by age, but by the intentional way they nurture belonging, protect traditions, and encourage the next generation to walk in faith and hope.

“Set your mind on things that are above, not on the things that are on earth.” – Colossians 3:2

Go and not only be a blessing but give a blessing to your grandchildren! And you know what- consider giving one to your grown children as well. Maybe those empty seats will be full again!

Let your words be an example of Christ’s grace, truth, relationship-building, encouragement, and love. Remember, words do hurt, and they matter. Let’s model Christlike communication with our families and others.

Grandparents Day is a wonderful way to honor grandparents and celebrate their critical role in the family.

May decades from now, the great grandchildren we will not see, hear of our example, and say what a beautiful life for God we lived. All for His glory and our family’s good.
