“The prayer of a righteous man (grandparent) is powerful and effective.”
James 5:16b Tweet
As intentional Christian grandparents, there are many things that we can do to point our children and grandchildren to Christ, but none is so vital as praying for them. Praying consistently and deliberately for our grandchildren can make all the difference in their daily lives, but more importantly, for all eternity.
Legacy Coalition Canada was founded after a group of like-minded grandparents gathered for a prayer “advance” (as opposed to a prayer “retreat”). Ever since, prayer has been a prominent and critical component of everything we do.

Praying Grandparents Prayer Groups
PG (Praying Grandparents) are prayer groups where grandparents meet regularly, either in person (often through the local church) or virtually. Regardless of the location or venue, the importance of grandparents meeting to praise, pray and support each other cannot be overstated.

“Fervent, faith-filled prayer is not a duty to be done, but a privilege to embrace. Prayer is the place where grandparents meet with God to align our hearts with His holy purposes and grand design for our grandchildren.”
