Grandchildren are gifts from God that need to be appreciated and nurtured (neither require cash nor expensive gifts). Rather, they require your intentional prayers of gratitude, time spent with them, and sharing wisdom you have gained from your life and your relationship with God.

As children begin to talk and are able to converse back and forth with you, you can begin to teach them simple prayers that thank God for family members, a home, food, rain, sunshine, and green grass.

As the summer marches on, many of our churches are planning out their church calendar year starting with Fall.

But, I don’t believe that anything is more important for nurturing their love for the Lord, their commitment to Christ, and their character development than praying, and the book of Proverbs is a great starting place for those prayers.

We need to give our children and grandchildren a good reason to believe we can all meet together again in our eternal home!

God’s Word tells us we will experience hard times—and should even expect them!
